Privacy Policy

Pro-Settle handles sensitive financial information. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have over it.

Last updated: August 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Pro-Settle (“Pro-Settle,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Vector North Capital company, collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you visit pro-settle.com, use our debt-settlement tools, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account information — your email address, and any name or contact details you add to your profile. We use passwordless sign-in, so we never ask for or store a password.
  • Financial information — creditor names, account balances, account numbers you choose to enter, debt status, income, expenses, assets, employment details, and hardship circumstances you supply so the tools can build your analysis and settlement letters.
  • Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. We retain only the transaction record (amount, date, status, and a payment reference).
  • Communications — messages you send through our contact form, survey responses, and support correspondence.

Information collected automatically

  • IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and referring page.
  • Pages viewed, features used, and timestamps, which we use to keep the Services working and secure.
  • A small number of cookies and similar technologies, including a session token that keeps you signed in and, where applicable, a referral identifier noting which affiliate partner sent you to us.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide the Services — generating your debt analysis, settlement letters, and course progress.
  • To authenticate you by emailing one-time sign-in codes.
  • To process payments, apply promotional codes, and issue receipts.
  • To respond to your questions and provide customer support.
  • To send service messages, and (where you have not opted out) occasional product and educational emails.
  • To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • To measure and improve the Services in aggregate, de-identified form.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers or advertisers. We disclose information only in these circumstances:

  • Service providers who operate the Services on our behalf under contract — our hosting and database provider, Stripe for payment processing, and our email delivery provider. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
  • Affiliate partners — if you arrived through an affiliate link, we share only the fact that a referred sale occurred and the commission owed. Affiliates do not receive your financial details.
  • Third-party services you choose to use — for example, if you follow our credit-repair link to a partner site, that partner's own privacy policy governs the information you give them.
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or property.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy continuing to apply to the transferred information.

Your settlement letters are generated for you to send. We do not contact your creditors, collectors, or credit bureaus on your behalf, and we do not disclose your information to them.

4. Data Retention

We keep your account information and the financial details you enter for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy — typically to meet tax, accounting, and legal recordkeeping obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and its associated data at any time (see Section 6). Transaction records required for financial reporting are retained even after account deletion.

5. Security

We protect information in transit with TLS encryption, restrict internal access to those who need it, store authentication codes only as one-way hashes, and rely on Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure for card data. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not email us sensitive account numbers or government identifiers.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you and how we use it.
  • Access a copy of that information.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate.
  • Delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Opt out of marketing email at any time, using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not knowingly process sensitive personal information for any purpose other than providing the Services. To exercise a right, use our contact form or email postmaster@pro-settle.com. We will verify your identity through the email address on your account and respond within the time the law allows.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and browser storage that are strictly necessary to run the Services — keeping you signed in, remembering your light/dark theme preference, and attributing affiliate referrals. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but sign-in will not work without them.

8. Children's Privacy

The Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Third-Party Links

The Services link to sites we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies before providing information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we will provide additional notice by email or in the app. Continued use of the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
